Girard is coming soon!
Girard The Guardian will be released only in the Dominion Rising box set for the foreseeable future. The book is turning out so well that I’ve been seriously inspired in the painting department. No, I’m still not very good yet, but I do keep improving. Here are my paintings of the first three main characters. I’m currently working out my sketches for the next two, Lila and Marcus.
Maybe because I’m improving, it’s also taking me a lot longer to do a painting. The last two took over a month each. I had my one year anniversary for starting drawing and painting a couple of weeks ago, and I’m still enjoying it very much. Yes, it has slowed down my writing some, but only because I don’t only sit attached to a computer for 16 hours a day. And that has improved my writing too. More time to think about it as I paint, I’m guessing. More cogitation makes for more plot and deeper plots.

February 26, 2018 - 3:05 am ·I pre-ordered the “Dominion Rising” box set, not expecting much from it (for the price). And was almost justified in my assessment… until I came across your novel!
Other than some minor issues that a good editor could easily correct for you, I was blown away by the originality and the tone of the book.
Please tell us that more books, or at least one more, will come out of these ideas?
I will keep your name on my watch list and most definitely be reading more of your books.

I’m so glad you liked that one! Yes, my final proof-editor didn’t get to that one by the time they had to compile the volume. Getting 22 authors working all at once is a bit like herding cats, so I didn’t want to rock the boat. I absolutely LOVED writing that book. I spent months obsessing. As a scientist, I always look for the biological flaws, so I figured the most fun to have with vampires would be to make them biologically possible. I’m thrilled it worked for you. And yes, more will come, I think…in time. I’m so stocked with commitments now. I won’t put it off forever though. Thalia Rising, First Daughter…oh my…and what about Marcus Aurelius, Vampire. So much out there ready to be written…Best, Ann
